Whitman Magazine has been published on a quarterly basis from 1978 to the present, and is the successor to the Whitman College Alumnus (1917-1978). Whitman Magazine contains campus and alumni news, as well as featured articles on faculty and student scholarship. The Annual Report of Gifts (also called the Annual Report of the President) has been published as an issue of the Magazine, typically in the fall, since 1991.

The Sweeter Than The Onions oral history project documents the experience of Queer residents and allies in the Walla Walla Valley. Nikki Brueggeman, Holly VanVoohris and Abby Main interview residents about their experiences: community attitudes towards Queer people, accessing resources, Queer contributions to the community, and thriving in the Valley. Residents' ages range from the early 20s to the 80s and cover a diversity of identities, careers, and community involvement.
